Unleash your creative potential and network at this unique art-making experience, where everyone can create a framable collage to take home.
The Cut Loose Collage Workshop lets you make, mingle, and sharpen your creative skills.
Research shows that engaging in hands-on creative activities not only enhances workplace problem-solving and collaboration (Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology), but also delivers a measurable boost to personal happiness and life satisfaction (Frontiers in Public Health).
About Craft & Connect
Goal: Offer a fun, effective, and memorable networking opportunity for LGBTQ+ professionals and allies that doesn’t center around drinking.
Workshop structure: Make mixed media artwork on your own or collaborate with others! Follow a simple collage/mixed media formula and experiment on your own, with guidance from long-time collage artist and founder of Cut Loose Collage Workshops. We’ll end the event with a pressure-free art show.
Vibe: Relaxed. Leave all perfectionism at the door. Experimentation encouraged. Plenty of time to make and mingle.
Come as you are: No experience required. All materials provided. Light refreshments and sober sips available.
Outcomes: Make meaningful and memorable connections. A sense of accomplishment for proving to yourself that you are creative. Handmade artwork to keep or gift. Inspiration to include more craft and connect experiences in your life.
I’m Michael Sjostedt, and I help people have fun. Seriously! Through Cut Loose Collage Workshops, I create hands-on collage sessions that help people slow down, get off their screens, and reconnect—with themselves and each other.
