Matthew Skallerud is President of Pink Banana Media and currently heads the company’s New York office. Matthew Skallerud, President, Pink Banana Media, and current head of the company’s New York office, specializes in LGBTQ online marketing, including targeting gay men and lesbians via content marketing, social media, programmatic ad banners, mobile smartphone apps. Matt focuses on search engine optimization (SEO), key word/search advertising (PPC) and social media analytics. A 20-year veteran of the LGBTQ online industry, Skallerud began with the 1995 launch of GayWired.com, which became one of the top three LGBTQ websites worldwide. Having helped companies large and small to reach the LGBTQ online consumer through that site and others, he now focuses on cutting-edge global innovations in programmatic ad buying, social networking and Web 2.0 technologies. Matt empowers clients to reach the LGBTQ market by using the most advanced online marketing techniques, including Real-Time Ad Bidding (RTB), Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google Plus, YouTube, blogs and others. The former Board Chairman of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA), Skallerud has served on the boards of Travel Gay Canada (TGC) and LAGLCC.
