A lifelong dancer, DJ Lina grew up "a classic rock girl." Born and raised in Manhattan, Lina started spinning on a dare. "I saw a lot of DJs just standing still and going off a playlist, and I couldn't do that," she says. "You can't sell something if you're not into it." Now she rules over her legions at Sip 'n Twirl, newly reopened in Fire Island Pines.
Lina has performed at Madonna's New Year's Eve Party in Miami; at Oprah's Opening Night party for "The Color Purple" on Broadway; and at some of the biggest international events. A sample: the US Open, the MTV Awards at the Paris Opera, the Black and Blue Festival in Montreal.
