OP.LYNX AND NEWFEST LAUNCH NYC'S HOTTEST SUNDAY
EVENT FOR WOMEN WITH CELEB CHEF, FILMS!
Here's a recipe for a hot Sunday. Take one celebrity chef. Add NewFest, the New York LGBT Film Festival. Stir in the women of OP.LYNX and their friends, and blend with the most talked-about queer filmmakers.
It's OP.LYNX's delicious Film Brunch, and it all comes together at West Village hot spot RF Lounge. You'll savor great company and a sumptuous Continental breakfast prepared by celeb chef Yoanne Magris of Food Network's "Chopped!" and Harlem's hopping Yo In Yo Out restaurant.
Then the action heads downstairs for a titillating collection of lesbian produced and/or lesbian themed films sponsored by NewFest.
You'll get to meet filmmaker Jenny Hagel who will be screening her films TECH SUPPORT and POSITIVE COMMENT. After the screening, Jenny will discuss the queer film scene as a performer, writer and director and you'll get to talk to her up close and personal about her films.
Our moderator for this exciting segment is Dasha Snyder classically trained dramatic writer and winner at Sundance Screenwriters lab, Honorable mention at the Talking Pictures 2010 Festival Awards, creator, writer and producer of THE D WORD, SPEED GRIEVING and I WANT SO MUCH TO LIVE.
