Now, you can be among the first in New York to screen David Sigal's "Florent, Queen of the Meat Market" -- and meet Sigal and star Florent Morellet themselves.This very special evening is a benefit for Out Professionals, the not-for-profit organization that has grown into the nation's leading LGBT networking group. Only 50 tickets will be available for this once-only event!
After drinks (beer, wine, soda and vodka drinks) and light appetizers, you'll view this special film in an intimate, exclusive setting: The screening room of post-production house Goldcrest Films, only steps from the Meatpacking District.

About the film: You won't want to miss this fantastic voyage to New York City's legendary Florent diner! For 23 years, the all-night eatery in the city's Meatpacking District was prime stomping ground for a surprising mix of A-list celebrities, tourists, families and club kids. It also played an important role in LGBT activism and culture. This wildly entertaining documentary chronicles the history and final days of this outrageous icon!
About the director: David Sigal is a co-producer of FAIR GAME, starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts, which debuted in competition at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2010. FLORENT, QUEEN OF THE MEAT MARKET, which Sigal directed, shot and produced, premiered on June 2010 at the New York Food Film Festival. A rough cut won the Audience Award at the 2009 Newfest film festival. Sigal had his feature directorial debut with THE LOOK, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2003. Variety called it "a vibrant canvas" with "flashiness and fun."
