OP AND MTV LOGO PRESENT EXCLUSIVE NIGHT OF SHORT FILMS AT HOT CLUB
You've seen him on LOGO, the fabulous gay broadcast and online network. Now, join host John Polly for an exclusive night of must-see short films from LOGO's own library - and personally selected by John for this special evening.
It all happens at Greenhouse, the trendy Varick Street club with its own state-of-the-art screening system. The entire club will be reserved just for OP and OUT@MTVN (MTV's Employee Pride Group) from 6-10pm with 2-4-1 drinks. You can mix, mingle, and meet up while seeing some of the best in gay film.
John Polly is the editor of several of Logo's websites, including LogoTV.com, NewNowNext.com and Logo's travel site, TripOutGayTravel.com. John's appeared on Logo as a co-host for the NewNowNext Awards Red Carpet pre-show, and other daffy on-air events. John is the producer and cohost of the RuPaul's Drag Race recap, Drag Ya Later with Jon & John.
Among the witty, quirky films:
Sombrero (dir. Nathaniel Atcheson) James and Raymond meet for a blind date in a Mexican restaurant. As the two men learn more about each other, their rocky date takes an unexpected turn toward the absurd.
Neurotica (dir. Nick Wauters) Follows the quirky patrons of a gay bar and gives the audience a glimpse at what's actually going on inside their heads.
King County (dir. David Quantic) KING COUNTY follows Camile Schwartzbaum as she leads her community theatre company in a frantic search for bad 80s movie to turn into the next Broadway Smash ala XANADU.
Positive Comment (dir. Jenny Hagel) A group of super-sweet sorority girls go out of their way to make a girl in a wheelchair feel welcome during Rush. The only problem? The disabled girl is a total jerk.
