NY TIMES' STUART ELLIOTT TALKS ADVERTISING WITH OP

SORRY... THIS EVENT IS NOW CLOSED!

The economy's tanking.  Media's gone limp.  Is there any reason to be optimistic about advertising? Will social networking kill everything else?

Who best to answer these questions (and more!) than Stuart Elliott, the famously witty advertising columnist of The New York Times.   With a roster of A-list guests from across the industry, Elliott will present his annual panel discussion on the state of the business.

This event has sold out in previous years, so RSVP now.  You'll want to hear what the ultimate insiders have to say. Thanks to the generous support of the company's GLTB employee group, the panel will take place at The Times' new "green" headquarters building.

Joining Elliott:
Out Professionals member Stephanie Blackwood (above center left), co-founder and managing director of Double Platinum, the renowned marketing communications agency specializing in the gay/lesbian market. Among its clients are Allstate, IBM, ING (Netherlands and North America). Lexus, Proctor & Gamble, Pernod Ricard USA and Nationwide.

Mediaite.com editor-at-large Rachel Sklar (above center right), former senior contributing editor at the Huffington Post and founding editor of that site's infamous "Eat the Press" page. Mediaite is "the site for news, information and smart opinions about print, online and broadcast media, offering original and immediate assessments of the latest news as it breaks".

Stephen Hahn-Griffiths (above right), EVP/Chief Strategy Officer at Boston's Mullen agency. He has a 20+ year track-record in successfully launching, navigating and rejuvenating a diverse spectrum of brands. He is perhaps the first CSO to tweet while running the Boston Marathon.

Stuart Elliott (above left) has been the advertising columnist of The New York Times since May 1991, writing the weekday advertising report as well as other news articles and features. He also writes a weekly e-mail newsletter, In Advertising, for NYTimes.com and previously produced radio reports and podcasts for The Times on advertising and marketing topics.

Elliott has covered advertising, marketing and media topics for two decades; in addition to The Times, he has written on those subjects for USA Today, Advertising Age, The Detroit Free Press and The Times-Union in Rochester, N.Y.  He lives in Manhattan.
