About Openhouse:

For 25 years, Openhouse has empowered LGBTQ seniors to overcome unique challenges by providing welcoming housing, impactful direct services, and innovative community programs. As a Director of Development with experience in crafting and implementing multi-dimensional development plans, you will play a crucial role in continuing this legacy. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and as part of the senior leadership team, your work will significantly impact our financial health and our reputation among partners and community members.

Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including vision and dental insurance, generous paid leave, and a supportive work environment. This position is eligible for a 401(k) with an agency match after one year of service. The anticipated annual base salary range is $110,000-$130,000.

The Day to Day:

Collaborate on the organizational development plan, covering all aspects of our development portfolio.
Manage and grow a personal portfolio of major donors and corporate partners.
Develop and implement major donor plans to increase the number of major gifts.
Work with the Executive Director and Development Committee to create a realistic planned giving program.
Plan and execute donor events and support board directors and senior leadership in donor cultivation and stewardship.
What We’re Looking For:

A passion for Openhouse’s mission and a proven track record in fundraising.
A high level of discretion, ethical approach to fundraising, and proficiency in development software.
Demonstrated experience, success, and progressive responsibility in fundraising with a minimum of five-years of experience.
Knowledge and experience of segmentation of donor lists, development of major gifts campaign, knowledge of planned giving programs and using development analytics to assess success, challenges and opportunities for growth.
Demonstrated success in securing five-figure donations and crafting effective development plans.
Experience working with and motivating board directors and volunteers in fundraising efforts.
