NEWS UPDATE! ANGELA ROBINSON regrets she's unable to make it in person as planned, but will be joining us for the Q&A via iChat.
We will feature webisodes from award-winning filmmakers Angela Robinson (The L Word, D.E.B.S., Girl Trash), Debra Wilson (First Take) and writer/comedian Rebecca Drysdale (The Time Traveling Lesbian). Plus, the winners of the Q-Me Con 2008 Women's Summit & AfterEllen.com Webisode Contest.
AfterEllen's Sarah Warn, along with Filmmaker Rebecca Drysdale will join us for a Q&A, which will be moderated by NewFest Administrative Director, Kerry Weldon. Angela Robinson and Debra Wilson will join the Q&A.

The event will start at 1pm with a Continental Brunch,
which will include fresh bagels, muffins and pastries, a selection of
fruit & veggies, as well as coffee,
OJ and $5 Bloody Marys and Pomegranate
Mimosas. Brunch is followed by the Screening at 2:30pm. Q&A follows the screening.

Previous FILMMAKER BRUNCH screenings have included: In February, Lesli Klainberg
screened "In the Company of Women", which features interviews with such
iconic actors and directors as Jody Foster and Susan Sarandon about
groundbreaking female roles in film in the past few decades. In
November 2007, Joyce Draganosky hosted a collection of her shorts, THE
SCIENCE OF LOVE, JARED, EXTREME MOM and HAPPENSTANCE. In August,
we were near capacity for a showing of short films by local filmmakers.
In May, we previewed CURL GIRLS, a new reality series on LOGO.
Maureen Guthman, Vice President of Acquisitions and Co-productions for
LOGO joined us in discussion about the series and about her role at
LOGO. In February, Peabody and Emmy award-winning filmmaker and
journalist for ABC News, Barbara Rick joined us in screening her
acclaimed documentary, IN GOOD CONSCIENCE, about Sister Jeannine
Gramick who is defying a Vatican-issued ultimatum to denounce
homosexuality or lose everything.
